Hotels in East End, London

From the moment I arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The check-in process was smooth, and they took the time to explain all the available services, like the terrace and free coffee machines. Although I didn't have time to use them due to my short stay, I appreciated the information. They even kindly accommodated my request for a higher floor, which was a nice touch. The room was spotless, modern, and beautifully decorated. I felt at home instantly. Upon entering the room, I was greeted with a sweet letter and a lovely bottle of wine, which was a thoughtful gesture as I checked in on Valentine’s Day. I loved the area and enjoyed the stunning views from my window. The room was equipped with everything I needed, including appliances that were spotless and well-maintained. There were also helpful instructions on the TV for each appliance and a guide to local services, including restaurants and activities. I especially appreciated the abundance of plugs in the room, including direct connections for USB and Type-C, making it easy to charge all my devices. Special thanks to Kate for assisting me with adjusting the window blinds, and to the staff who offered support and advice after my concert was canceled. Excellent service all around!

Location, environment, service are excellent. The hotel staff was very helpful and warmth. When I left my phone in a taxi, the staff did their best to help me find it. Special thanks to Mr. Andrei Morari, Mr. Darius and Mr. Basal. When I checked out, I found that I had left something in the safe box. The staff kept it carefully for me until I went to get back it. In a word, it was a great hotel and I will stay here again next time I am in London.

Place is really greato to spend couple days in London. City center is walking distance, just 3 minutes from hotel you can rest in nice pubs.

We stay in the hotel for an annual conference, the hotel is good and well connected. The hotel has a big hall to host events like conferences and business meetings

It was nice to be positively surprised for once. The room turned out to be cleaner than expected (very clean), and better equipped than expected. It also turned out to be larger than expected, certainly way larger than the broom closets (read: «Rooms») of the other London hotels we stayed in so far. The room comes with a wardrobe, there is a section which holds the coffeemaker and fridge and there is even a small balcony. A word of caution before your mind goes all whoolgathering, though, as the balcony faces the backyard, which kind of nippes all romantic thoughs in the proverbial bud. Not facing the street also means a quieter room, however, and quiet it was. We asked for a quiet room when we made our reservation and a quiet room is what we got. There was no breakfast included in our rate, but this being the Strand and Covent-Garden there are numerous restaurants in the neighborhood. To be honest, if you threw a stone it would be difficult not to hit one, if not even two. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and are always on hand whenever you need them. To be honest, it was quite nice to be perceived as a person rather than just a room-number for once. This is not a very large hotel, which also means there are no lines in front of the elevators, nor are they filled to capacity, which is something we also appreciated. If you are heading for breakfast the smell of undigested Doner-Kebap is not always conductive to a healthy appetite. At this point I would like to thank the staff for making our stay the success it was and special thanks to Mandeep and Tommy for their valuable tips, which were not only helpful but also saved us money in the end. Are there better hotels in London? Certainly, but for this price and location what «The Resident» has to offer is hard to beat. We will definitely be back.

The junior suite we stayed in for a week, called Lady, was beautifully decorated. Old fashioned which I like, golden light fittings and golden edges. And having a bathroom with a toilet and a separate shower room was wonderful for us two. The space was small but all was so smartly arranged on 3 levels, it felt like a 4 room apartment. Loads of hangers with a huge space for clothes and loads of drawers. Very good. Impressed with the many electrical plugs, very good for all the electrical equipment needing charges. Their Blue Door Bistro next door was brilliant for food. We have stopped eating breakfast, but had lunches and dinners there most of the time.

Amazing place. Great stay and great breakfast! The staff was really nice and helpful during the stay.
