We were surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sounds of nature. The attention to detail in every aspect of the house was truly remarkable. The rooms were cleaned and made every day and the comfortable bed ensured a restful night's sleep. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the delicious breakfast served. It’s prepared with love and care, and the freshly cooked meals feature a delightful array of local delicacies and seasonal fruits, providing a delicious start to the day. The staff at Gek House were always ready to assist and their message replies were prompt, they took great care of the facilities, maintaining the beautiful garden and furnitures with their hands. It's rare to find a place that combines such genuine hospitality with impeccable service. Not easily accessible by car but just a 3 min walk out to two rows of eateries and shops. Highly recommend travellers to experience the warmth and tranquility of this hidden gem.

The Gunung Merta Bungalows is a great place for a stay in Ubud, with its spacious and homely rooms. It gives us the experience of staying in a traditional Balinese compound with its moss grown walls and the greenery all around. There was an artistic touch everywhere to the place that made the stay more pleasant. The service was fantastic and even on a rainy day when it was pouring down, we had ordered something to eat and it arrived in a very short span of time and the food was delicious. Overall, the aesthetic feel of the place combined with the hospitality of the people and the fact that it is right in the middle of Ubud made our stay in the Gunung Merta Bungalows a memorable one. Moreover, the Ubud Palace, the Art Market and the Saraswathi temple are just a 10 minute walk from here and these are sights you wouldn't want to miss.

Excelent staff and services! I totally recommend this hotel! The prices are higher compared to Bali, but here everybody is smiling and is helping without waiting for money. The design of the room is very nice and we didn’t have mosquitoes or geckos in the room. The cleaning was extremely detailed, they arranged us all the clothes. Breakfast was also good and i liked that there is an a la carte menu ti choose from. Pool is instagramable, but smaller that what we expected. Congrats to everybody for keeping this hotel like this!
