Staying at Hotel Castrum during our visit to Grado was an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel exceeded our expectations in so many ways, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The room were extremely comfortable and well air-conditioned, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The hotel itself is new and modern, with a very convenient elevator that added to the ease of our stay. Its location in the heart of the old town was ideal—everything we wanted to see was just a short walk away. At the same time, the hotel is tucked slightly off the main streets, so we were spared the noise and bustle, which made for peaceful evenings. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. A special thank you to the lovely Polish lady who showed us where to find a fantastic free beach and recommended a restaurant with the best Neapolitan pizza in town. Another staff member went out of her way to lend us her personal bottle opener when we needed one. These small but meaningful gestures made us feel so welcome and well cared for. We were also impressed with how the owners accommodated our need for secure parking, going out of their way to arrange it for us. The breakfasts were fantastic—everything was fresh and delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. We particularly enjoyed sitting at the outdoor tables, savoring our meal under the open sky, surrounded by the charm of the Italian old town. As for Grado itself, the town is simply extraordinary—full of grace, elegance, character, and authentic charm. It’s a place that leaves a long lasting impression, and I truly hope to return one day. When I do, I will undoubtedly choose to stay at Hotel Castrum again. To the owners and staff, thank you so much for everything. Staff was super friendly, the room very beautifully decorated and comfortable. There was a great bike garage and breakfast was very delicious. The hotel was very recently renovated so it all was very new and nice.

Everything was wonderful ❤️ Super friendly and attentive staff. Perfect cleanliness and sufficient comfort. Truly delicious breakfast with a good variety. The parking is public, but finding a spot is easy. Ideal location: the sea, old town, and cafés are all within a 5-minute walk. The bathroom has an electric dryer for quickly drying clothes. 👌👍

Great location with free parking space. Clean, very friendly and nice host. The town is very sweet.

The apartment was very nice, even on the sofa bed it was very comfortable to sleep. The breakfast in the nearby bar was also very good and the included parking was a nice bonus. The accommodation is in a great location with everything within walking distance. Betty was a super helpful host, we will definitely be back!

The apartment is very spacious, great location and the kitchen has everything you need to cook. Parking space is in the inside yard of the building, you can also save your bikes there.
