My stay at Kotohira Kadan was fantastic. The view from the hotel is truly beautiful, adding a special touch to the overall experience. The private onsen in the room was a highlight, providing a relaxing and luxurious escape. The food was exceptional, with a variety of delicious dishes that left me very satisfied. The staff were incredibly friendly and grateful, always attentive and making me feel very welcome. Additionally, the hotel’s location is very convenient, making it easy to walk to Kotohira-gu Shrine. This made exploring the area very enjoyable and hassle-free.

Great place to stay, good location although be aware the access is a bit narrow if you drive a big car. The "neighbourhood" is great with such a flavor of old Japan but with all the comforts of the modern times. We were travelling with children and the hosts were so kind to leave treats and juices and all. 100% recommend this place and I will be very glad if I get the chance to stay there again.

My stay here was excellent! The organization and preparation were top-notch, and the welcome upon arrival was warm. The stuff were very helpful and courteous from the start, truly wonderful. The house is truly impressive and spacious, and impeccably clean. I will definitely return and highly recommend this accommodation.

It is absolutely beautiful, we stayed in a western style room and it's absolutely huge! It also had an amazing view of the mountain behind. We didn't bother using the onsen as we have tattoos but we walked around the hotel and it's so beautiful with many art pieces and sculptures. The breakfast buffet was also very delicious and the dining hall was beautiful.

The host was very friendly and eager to help out all tourists and took his time to help you in any way he can. He has travelled to more than 70 countries himself so he can relate. The place is cozy and clean and the setting is quite intriguing. Very close to the station.
