This is a big hotel that runs like a well oiled machine. The onsen is great, the rooms are decent size (for Japan) and the service is friendly and helpful. Lovely amenities too both at the onsen and in room.
No shoes allowed in the hotel which adds to the cleanliness. Socks are supplied as are pajamas which everyone wears so you feel very much like you're part of the hotel community.
Lots of free stuff thrown in like late night ramen, ice lollies, washing machines, massage chairs.
Breakfast is amazing - huge selection of Japanese breakfast options to choose from and nothing ever runs out.
Luggage transport service was also taken care of - my bag was waiting for me when I checked in.
Loved this hotel.

It’s the most standard hostel in Japan that I’ve been too. Like a normal hostel in Europe without any strange rules! Everything is high quality neat and clean. There is kitchen, laundry (cheaper than anywhere) hang out area, back garden

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The interior is modern, clean, and beautifully designed. The large, comfy bed and exceptionally clean bathroom with minimal style decor and functional design stood out. The lighting creates a cozy ambiance, and the room is fully equipped with amenities. We are a family with a 6yo, 4yo and a 4mo baby.
The hotel provided a free crib, a real one not a camping crib we usually get at hotels.
The small apartment/room was very comfortable for a family. I had a microwave that fits Avent bottle sterilizator, a fridge, a freezer, a fully stocked kitchen. While we chose not to cook and mostly brought in goods from the convini (Lawson is better than 7/11 in my opinion, both are bear by) or take aqay from the station's McDonalds, Avanti's food court (right across the street) or Coco Curry.
A large dining table, a spacious shower and bath and a laundry room (operated by coins) made traveling with kids a pleasant experience.
We chose Kyoto station branch as we used it as base for Osaka and Nagoya too, and it made traveling around easier. For us it was a perfect location.
The hotel also has a game lending library and we enjoyed several evenings playing with our kids.
