First class experience from start to finish! Everyone working at The GrandWest were incredibly welcoming and we cannot fault their focus on customer service, whether helping us with bike rental (free for 2 hours) or providing towels/discounts, etc for the local Onsen. The breakfast was delicious and they had a great array of teas/coffees available for free. The quality of materials used in and around the hotel were sustainable and stylish and the roof garden a lovely idea. The location was ideal, a short stroll (5/10 mins) from the key locations on our itinerary in Arashiyama, which is the most gorgeous place. Thanks again to everyone at The GrandWest. 10/10

The room was incredible with an amazing view and the private onsen in the room overlooking the river and bridge was truly special. Everything was clean and it was very spacious, with comfortable beds and amenities.

The stay was around tranquil setting, close proximity to public transport and attractions yet away from the hustle and bustle. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room's immaculate, comfortable beds, spacious with home theatre facilities, a great variety of toiletries, and the complimentary breakfast breads and juices were all good. We didn't get breakfast; it was pretty close to Kyoto station, about 30 minutes by train. Very safe neighborhood with good food spots nearby.

We spent two nights at the cafe Sharehouse and it was an amazing experience. As for the location it is close to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest (like 10 mins walk). It has an amazing river close by where you can run and also an onsen which is must go place during your stay at the sharehouse. We had a very warm welcome from the host and a little morning talks which were always refreshing and interesting. There is a bus stop and the metro station in 1-2 mins from the cafe and you can get anywhere in Kyoto by means of them. We went to the cafe sharehouse directly from Tokyo and it was so nice to finally chill in a family environment, away from the chaotic lifestyle. Thank you very much 💕 I hope I will be back pretty soon ☺️

The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff checking in were wonderful and helped us ship our bags and answered all the questions we had. The breakfast was plenty and delicious. The onsen was amazing and beautiful. We also tried the brick baths and those were very relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Perfect!, Wonderful lady who runs it. It's an ideal location for a short drive from the main centre. Lovely and spacious, outside decking and seating area. Lovely and quiet. Well recommended for the money.
