We arrived very early, like 10AM, the reception staff did everything possible to offer us a room as soon as she could. She gave us the WIFI password and we sat in the lovely lobby for about 20 minutes enjoying a cappuccino while they were getting our very large room ready. The picture of the temple is the view from our balcony.
The size of the room was impressive, and it was perfect to re-organize our luggage before leaving to Bhutan.
We spend the day finding what we needed in the city and had a nice dinner at the hotel, we were up early and they were kind enough to set up the buffet breakfast by 6 AM.
We are going back on our last day before going home.

The hotel has their own driver for daily tour at a reasonable price. And they can provide information /suggestion if you prepare trip to other places.

Very good hotel, the staff is top notch, very kind and helpful. The breakfast is great, we didn't even expect it to be so delicious. The room has a kettle for tea and drinking water, and the rooms are cleaned every day. Clean, cozy, comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very tasty. The view from our window was of the city and the mountains. It's a 7-minute walk to Buddha Stupa.
We were very pleased with this hotel. We felt at home. Thank you 🙏🏻

I could book the room with 50% reduction so it was very good value for money, I really appreciated the heating function that was possible through the AC system, the kettle to make tea in the room, the cosy interior design and the helpfulness of the staff.

There was nothing that we disliked about this hotel. We stayed for 2 weeks.
What we loved was:
Restaurant food choice and quality. A breakfast choice of American, Indian or items off of the menu with tea or coffee. The restaurant is on the 6th floor with nearly 360 degrees of amazing views of the city and airport.
Friendly and courteous staff without exception.
Helpful and available for any queries we had. I understand some hotels have very pushy staff trying to force you into their trips but we were never sold to - not even once.
Clean, spacious well equipped rooms - we stayed in 101 facing the front and still slept very well.
The area felt safe with plenty of local shops and supermarkets. We used to walk regularly to the Buddha Stupa which took about 20 mins. To get to other tourist places was a taxi ride but taxis are cheap and plentiful and fares agreed before getting in!
If returning to Kathmandu we will 100% rebook at Sherpani. Thank you to all the staff!
