Our stay was overshadowed by the terrible flood that hit Auckland end of January. The hotel lobby was flooded, the electricity was off and elevators did not work and the whole City was in chaos. BUT then we met the Manager of Nesuto at the Check in (which was way past midnight due to the traffic conditions) he was incredibly calm and helpful, very kind and organised a room on a lower level as I
had problems climbing too many steps (and no elevator), staff helped us carrying our luggage (very heavy). The rooms luckily were not affected by the flood. Very nice, clean and spacious room!
Everybody at the hotel was so helpful and they worked so hard to make everything as smooth as possible for the guests under these special circumstances. The next morning we started to realise how bad the hotel was hit by the flood (breakfast room, Restaurant etc) but the staff appartently worked all night to dry the lobby and again the Manager was amazing. He was of course very busy but always approachable- for guests and staff- explaining everything and again being so calm and polite. Even organised a really delicious espresso for us :-) while we were waiting for our taxi ...the only thing you could argue about is his favorite soccer Team ;-)
But seriously: we had a really memorable stay at Nesuto partly because of the flood but mostly because of the incredible Team!
