The owners are really lovely and gave good suggestions not only for in town/on the peninsula, but for my onward travel. The room is a bit small, but there is so much functionality packed in without anything feeling cramped, with a fully functional kitchenette, desk area, and bathroom. The mural is a fun plus.

This was our third time staying here and in general, the service is always exceptional and the value for money is really good considering the location of this motel. We would happily stay again, any problems we had were quickly sorted and the owners as so lovely.

Check in was easy, manager showed us to our room. (2 doors to get through so room felt secure) Room was spacious and clean. Has a/c, iron and ironing board. Nice balcony with seating. (we didnt use this as it looks onto the main road so a little over looked for our preference) High speed internet. Comfortable leather sofa and comfortable bed. Guest laundry (chargeable) available after 2pm. Housekeeping only comes when you ask for it which we really liked. Toiletries and tea/coffee were available in reception for guests to take at their convenience.

Woodlands Motel & Apartments are in the city of Dunedin, next to the university. Self-contained apartments with free Wi-Fi are on offer, only 656 feet from the main shopping street.
