This 5-star hotel is a perfect place for the holiday. It's on the mountain side, high place we could see all over the city. But I don't suggest you to drive to there because the road is too narrow for driving except you are a very good driver (actually I broken my car once driving up to there). All the places, service, ambiance, landscape could reach 5-star level. Inside like the castle place, you could even stay all day only in the hotel.

The staff including Managers were very pleasant, accommodating and spoke perfect english. We travelled with our family of seven using 3 rooms. The breakfast was fantastic offering, cereal, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, coffees and my favourite freshly squeezed orange juice to name a few items. Our rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Separate large rooms for both the toilet and walk in shower. We had a great view of the sea port where the cruise ships were docked. The Vine has the best location in Funchal and is an easy walk to many attractions. This was my second visit to the Vine.

Everything! 3 double beds, 3 separate bathrooms, everything new! The host waited for us with traditional wine and a cake! Super cute! Very happy! Good location, can see the ocean thro the windows and terrasse.:)) we recommend it!

Host was so nice, waited up for a late check in and showed us around the property. Property is in such a great location close to the beach and surrounded by great restaurants. Place was so clean, had amazing views and has restaurants and bars underneath. Highly recommend
