Amazing place, I've stayed at five different hostels in Taipei. They've all been good, even great. But I think Star Hostel has been exceptional. It's a little pricey than some, but well worth it.

Beautiful property! Everything is so clean and well maintained. Comfortable bed (maybe a bit more on the firm side, if that matters to someone), and the bathroom is so big (amazing water pressure). The service is excellent - the front desk was so helpful when we had questions about transportation and exchanging money. The breakfast buffet is a nice mix of western options with Taiwanese and other Asian offerings. The location is also great as it’s a 5 minute walk to the Brown line and about a 10-15 minute walk to the Red line. I highly recommend this hotel!

Central, clean, spacious. The metro station is right below the hotel, moreover there are plenty of restaurants just nearby. The room was clean and spacious with a beautiful big window. Very quiet as well. There is a common area with coffee for free.
