Wonderful location right on the lake, stunning views from the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Dinner in the main steakhouse restaurant is achingly expensive (though probably not for the wealthy locals), but fabulous. Ten minute walk from train station.

Very friendly hosts. Sparkly clean house and very thoughtful for details. There is a very homely feeling, a kitchen with free coffee, cooking facilities with dishwasher, big dining area and a living room with a big TV. Two spacious showers with toilet and the beds were very comfortable. Near train station but quiet at night. We loved it, it had all we needed and more. Very good value for money.

The Strand hotel in Schmerikon is situated in a fantastic location directly on Lake Zurich. The accommodation has its own small beach, which is reserved for hotel guests only.
