Absolutely everything about the property and its hosts, who are next door but are quiet and respectful. More specifically the decor is done to a very high standard, the kitchen is extremely well equipped, having toilets on ground and upstairs levels is handy, and the bathroom is luxurious with a fine shower. Both bedrooms are well sized, with a beautiful marble topped bureau in the smaller room. Both double beds are very comfortable. There's a lovely spacious lounge with dining area, and outside is a quaint, atmospheric garden with table and chairs and many labelled plants and shrubs reflecting the host's interest in all things in nature. The property location is in a large village of smart dwellings in rolling hills, and it's an excellent position for getting to Paris by train, and to many other cultural places by vehicle, such as to Monet's Giverny. Just a few yards away is a fascinating "nature"garden open to the public which displays much clever photography too. It's a project involving the host who also has a number of fabulous professional photographs in large frames around the house It's suitable for couples and families, and we understand it could accommodate up to six people by use of a sofa bed, probably suitable more for children.

We chose this area to get north of Paris for a short hop to the channel tunnel. Given the price we were not expecting too much but it really was fabulous - we would definitly stay here again. Fantastic host and as a real bonus, a fantastic restaurant in the hotel. Brilliant. Oh yes, very, very nice breakfast too.

Laurence was so very welcoming to us as weary cyclists. She explained everything well as to where we might eat. The room was lovely, light and very clean. She even had some welcome biscuits for our teatime. Breakfast was beautifully presented.

We had a wonderful stay at François and Claudie's Château. The "gardener's dépendance" we used as a family has been freshly renovated and everything was very clean and in a brand new state. The property itself includes a lovely yard where we were able to enjoy some quiet time and fresh air before making the most of all the local pluses - a really nice forest with lots of different walks, a wonderful chocolate shop and a really interesting mushroom cultivation outlet (you'll never feel the same about "champignons de Paris" after trying the top quality version sold there!). Internet could have been a bit faster, and we were not sure why there was no waste recycling set up at the dépendance (maybe not organized yet by the local town?)... but François and Claudie's warmth, reactivity and dependability more than compensated it all. Overall just an excellent price/quality value, especially in Ile de France/Paris region - we can only recommend you consider staying there!
