Staying at Lakesview Lodge was a fabulous experience. Absolutely a 10/10. Incredibley friendly and welcoming hosts. Their B&B is immaculate in its presentation. High quality linen, bed and pillows ensuring a great night's sleep. The Breakfast was...WOW!!!! The best I've ever had at a B&B, hotel or airbnb. All produce was locally sourced and of the highest quality...we had fresh crepes, pastries and cakes all homemade by our host's. The location as priceless. Beautiful, serene and idyllic.

Great situation, close to Portmagee for the visit to Skellig Michael and a fantastic place to stay! Modern, spacious, well thought out and well equipped. Anja is a great host and has good local knowledge. We would happily recommend this place. Oh, and this is part of the “Kerry dark sky reserve” area so you’ll hopefully get to see some amazing stars. we did!

Nikki and Gabriel were wonderful hosts and their B&B is charming and comfortable. Our room was clean, spacious and we had all the accessories we needed. Breakfast was also very delicious! We would’ve happily stayed for a few more days, which we’ll definitely do when we visit Ireland next time.

Stay Skellig was just amazing stay! House in reality much better than on photos. Clean, comfortable, with all amenities, cosy and stylish, very comfortable beds, great view from window and absolutely friendly doge Woodie. My only regret staying there only one night.

The host was friendly and helpful. The location was good - handy to the Kerry Cliffs and Valentia Island. The room was very nicely decorated and included a welcome sign that had our names on it. . The breakfast was good too. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The Atlantic Sunset is a new lodging with lots of parking a couple of miles outside Portmagee. It's a big room with a comfy bed, dining area & table, couch, TV, modern bathroom and great Wifi. It's also one of the few places of the 10+ lodgings I stayed at that let me control the room temperature. When traveling in Oct. that's huge. My hosts were quite helpful, allowed me to arrive early for check in, made sure the fridge and pantry was well stocked with cerial, milk, yoghurt, etc. Portmagee, on the Ring of Kerry, is famous for the boat tours to Skelling Michael island one of the key locations for one of the recent Star Wars films -- and 1000 years before that, an Irish monastery. But the Atlantic is also just a 4 minute drive away from the Portmagee Cliffs, an amazing overlook that as a landscape photographer I found better than the Cliffs of Moher -- and with way less people. The island of Valentia, just over the bridge from Portmagee, also has some lovely sights (Geokaun Cliffs, lighthouse, etc.). So for me, this town at the end of the Kerry Peninsula was the best part of the Ring Road experience. And Atlantic Sunset was a perfect base for exploring.

We had a clean and comfortable room with ocean view and sunset inclusively. Elaine was an excellent host, who provided not only all information to explore Valentia Island but also offered us a shuttle service with her car to Chapeltown for dinner and to Portmagee for the Skellig Tour. Breakfast was superb and covered all needs of cyclists. Cuas a' Gamhna and Valentia Island was one of our best places on our 4 week bicycle tour along the Wild Atlantic Way, but sadly we had to leave and cycle forward after two nights.
