Very peaceful and quiet location away from traffic and noise, situated by a serene lake and lush trees and greenery. There’s a nice spacious kitchen with filtered water, a fridge, kettle, oven hobs and teabags etc. nice big clean bathroom. The bed was big, clean and very comfortable. The family bought a big breakfast and coffee every morning and we’re very helpful and friendly in general.

River View Homestay is a great place to stay. It was the best experience staying in this River Front house. It is a traditional old Kerala style tiled house overlooking the beautiful river. The location is unbeatable with a beautiful view of Chithari river, surrounded with mangrove forests and coconut trees in a peaceful village. This place is very well maintained and breeze all time to house. Kitchen is available with cooking gas, stove with all utensils. We cooked food for 2 days and it was good experience. Owner gave the full itinerary to visit nearby places and we watched theyyam, Visited Bekal Fort, Red moon beach and Fishing in the river was the best experiences we had. This is very budget level homestay in entire Kasaragod. We stayed 2 nights and had almost relaxing trip. The warmth and hospitality was really something we are looking forward to visiting again. My wife and I are cycling in India. We had a fabulous stay at Gateway Bekal. We had a balcony room with a lovely view. Super clean and comfortable spacious room. Food at breakfast was excellent. Dinner buffet was excellent. A la carte menu is slightly expensive, but then it is the Taj group so we expect this. Staff everywhere were friendly, helpful and always professional, eager to please us, and responsive to every request we had - very impressive. The site is still being worked on - the spa, and bar are not working, and the Riverside walkway is not smooth. A short autorickshaw ride to Bekal Fort. Overall, a magnificent experience, which will be even better when the hotel is fully functional, and the extensive grounds have been nourished by one monsoon season.

The young girl on reception Hanoodsheik had only been there 2 weeks and she worked really hard to make sure we had everything we wanted and answer all our questions, the mix up with our reservation was resolved. Large spacious room, nice balcony area with seating.

This new resort has all the ingredients for the perfect stay. Well appointed, comfortable and spotless rooms, hot water, quiet AC and ceiling fans. The rooms are spread across the whole site so even when other guests are on site your privacy is maintained. The rooms have been built so the balcony or windows are facing the view, as nature lovers we really enjoyed this. The site has been thoughtfully planted with lots of shady areas to sit and relax. The decor is very tasteful and celebrates traditional crafts and building methods. The restaurant has AC and serves very tasty food. While we were there it was obvious that the restaurant was focused on high quality food, everything we tried was excellent. The icing on the cake is the hospitality of the staff. Definitely five stars for customer service. We cycled to the resort and the extra up at the end of a ride was 100% worth it.
