Stop looking for other options, this is the one you need. It's super clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and their dinner and breakfast is delicious. It's just a 15-20min walk down the main street to enter the east gate for the Taj Mahal. Really the best place to stay when visiting Agra.

The Elinor Hotel was excellent choice. They had upgraded our room from a Deluxe with a Suite Room, so that was a wonderful surprise. The staff was fantastic. Unlike other places advertised as homestays, this is a real homestay! The hosts are incredibly helpful and welcoming. The room is comfortable and private enough. It's about a 25-30 minute walk to the Taj but in a nice residential area with restaurants around. I would happily stay again.
