We had a great stay at Hotel Sou. The room design is very modern - the raw concrete and industrial design elements, as well as the open floor concept connecting room, bathroom and balcony are really well done. You can see that the owner knows what he‘s doing and has a great eye for good design. The hotel is super well located and in close walking distance to some of Fukue‘s main sights, a bunch of restaurants/bakeries etc. Last but not least, the owner really went way and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. He was always available for questions, helped us making reservations with restaurants and arrangements with a rental car company, etc. This helped us a lot, especially as English is not so widely spoken in Fukue/Goto.

This house is in a beautiful location right next to the little port and close to a lovely beach. We enjoyed fishing in the evening and swam at the beach often. The house is spacious and comfortable with a great communal dining/cooking area. The plentiful wash facilities are superb. We love the onsen!

Hitomi and Nicholas are very friendly and have picked up us at the airport right after we landed the Island. Hitomi was so smart by predicting the cancellation of our flight due to heavy frost and directed us to the Ferry Pier to Nagasaki so that we could catch up our flight in Fukuoka next day. The staff, the location, the island’s nature. The staff were so friendly and went over and above to help us. The hotel was beautiful. Such a lovely design, modern, clean and comfortable. The food was incredible too.
