Recently came from vacation to Sri Lanka from Munich and My stay at Flamingo Nature Resort in Weerawila was an absolute delight and a truly authentic SriLankan experience. Being surrounded by such beautiful nature, especially with the tranquil lake right there, really brought a sense of inner peace. Waking up to the sounds of nature and just taking in the views was incredibly calming and helped me truly relax and disconnect from the everyday hustle. I was also so impressed with how clean everything was. Our room was absolutely spotless - you could tell they take cleaning very seriously, which made the stay even more comfortable and worry-free. It's always reassuring to know that your space is so well-maintained. Beyond the beauty and cleanliness, I also felt a real sense of safety and security during my time there. The environment felt calm and well-looked after, and the staff were always attentive and present, which added to that feeling of being in a secure and comfortable place. Highly recommend!

Our stay was really perfect. The hotel was one of the cleanest we had in Sri Lanka, the pool is awesome and invites for relaxed hours. The room and its equipment was also impeccable. We spontaneously prolonged our stay for one more night because we just loved it. Tharindu and the rest of the staff were super attentive and fulfilled every wish. The restaurant was also yummy and the prices were reasonable. They even gave us a free bottle of water for the onward journey. The organization of the full day safari was easy and we got to see elephants and leopards with our guide Dinuka. The guide was also very good as he was very experienced (one time he predicted the exact point of a leopard crossing the road). All in all: If we ever come back to Tissimaharama, we will definitely stay there again!

Our stay at Art Yala Boutique Resort was absolutely wonderful! Muda and his team went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The food was amazing, and the location is simply stunning—perfect for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was the safari into Yala National Park that Muda organised for us. It was a seamless and memorable experience. The team’s thoughtfulness didn’t stop there—they even helped us book a restaurant at our next destination, which was incredibly helpful and kind. We stayed for two nights and genuinely wished we had stayed longer. Thank you, Muda and team, for such a fantastic experience. We can’t wait to come back!

Great accommodation in Tissa! The rooms are spacious and clean, and have a balcony with a beautiful view to rice fields. The pool is really nice. Great value for money. The owners helped organize the full day safari. Really great tour (we saw 2 leopards) with a guide that doesn’t follow the crowds and truly explores the park. The location is not super close to centre but they have bicycles we can use (just a 20min bike ride)

I will give this a 10/10 out of how much the owner provided for me. The view outside is amazing, just in front of the lake. So peaceful! So the room was okay. But the best thing for me was that the owner provided me a free tour around the place, watching sunset, crocodiles, bats and owls. He also took me to the atm, supermarket, and picked me up from the bus when arriving. Everything for free. And I can also recommend going with the safari that he is providing. That guide was also amazing, experienced, and affordable.

I can’t recommend it more 😊 Nalin will do everything to make your stay better He is always trying to add more value to your stay offering new activities, recommendations and experiences He arranged a dinner in the jungle where I could cook rotti with the locals and even spot some crocodiles and elephants!! Nice and comfortable tents with private outdoor bathroom, providing a very special experience! The fans kept the tent cool at night. Lovely porch area to relax. Breakfast and dinner BBQ were excellent. The hosts were very kind and welcoming.

The best stay we had in our entire trip around Sri Lanka! Just can’t recommend it enough! Very clean room, big clean bathroom with hot shower and an amazing yard with lake view. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast, some of the best meals we had. Lovely host and very attentive with our needs. Hardworking staff - the results are impeccable.
