Sarita made sure we were comfy, happy and had all that we need. Upon arrival, she even bought us some milk. She’s truly thoughtful and the cottage itself had everything we needed and more. It was very cosey and had a lot of character and very well designed. The location is perfect too as it’s nice and quiet but close to all that you would need. A nice room in a privately owned new villa with a shared bathroom. All new and very clean, very comfortable beds. Very friendly and nice people, other guest were there as well. Parking can be done in the street, free. Restaurants are 5 min. drive away in the center of the town. Location is about 30 min. by car from the airport and well suited for a short stay after arriving or before departure from Christchurch. Also the nearby pennisula can be explored in a day trip from here.

Hardly find hotels where u can cook your own food inside. Golden hotel has mini kitchen with cooking utensils available for you to cook food inside room. Very neat and tidy. Easy check in and check out process. Always prefer to stay here whenever I visited christchurch. Near to airport as well.
