What is this a hidden gem, even though I have looked through the photos on booking, I was still amazed by this house when we arrived here. It is literally at the beginning of the balcony walk so if you get up on time (we left at 7 a.m. with our two boys) then you have the walk completely to yourself. The house is amazing, very large kitchen with living room, two spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds. We bought our own food in Nizwa and made a nice dinner with salmon wraps and ate them outside by the fire place. We bought some wood from the people taking care of this house and made a fire and even bbq marshmallows. No wifi connection here but who would mind with such a beautiful view all around you. We played some board games and hanged out around the fire. House has plates, pots, cuttlery, cups and big refrigerator so comfortable enough to make your own dinner and breakfast and just enjoy the peace. It's maybe good to mention that we didn't have a 4x4 but my husband is an experienced driver and didn't have a problem driving up in our rental Hyundai car.

The location is in a wonderful position, it is absolutly a magic experiance spend time here. Every where around you has an amazing energy. Rooms are perfectly clean with all the comfort. Foods really deliciouse Staff professional and really gentle . Special thank to Youssef who help us find the way when we ve got lost and to Samir who gave us a lift to our car on the way back to his home. Best place ever with really amazing people.

Mohsin is a great host, very friendly and helpful. The facilities are not luxurious, but definitely good and fit for purpose (keep in mind that you are at the end of the road in the mountains). Views are spectacular, and we loved the glass front of our room. The property is literally at the start of the balcony walk.

My recent stay at Canyon Guest House in Jabal Shams was nothing short of fantastic. Having previously visited Jabal Shams and stayed elsewhere, I was eager to try this highly-rated option, and it exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect for exploring the area. It's conveniently situated, making it easy to access the various hiking trails and viewpoints that Jabal Shams has to offer. Being close to Al Hamra Village is also a plus for picking up any necessities. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a welcome respite after a day of hiking. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, which is essential when you're tackling the mountain trails. While I didn't use all the facilities, the guesthouse offered a range of amenities that added to the overall experience. Mr. Ahmed Al Khatri makes sure everything went perfect for us ❤️ The host Roshan was extremely supportive. We are coming back soon and every visit in Jabal Shamas we will stay on this place only because it worth every single moment you spend 😍 Thanks alot for your hospitality Mr.Ahmed Al Khatri. 🙏

The boy who is managing the house is fantastic. He managed for us also a very good dinner and breakfast. The rooms are new, very big and clean and the house is calm and peaceful. It is 10 min by car from the balcony walk W6 trek and 2 min by car from Jabal shams view point. I stayed here with my group (avventure nel mondo) and all the participants appreciated 🥰 very good place to stay

The dome location is the most beautiful spot to stay in the area. It was so private and you have the stars at night and the sunrise in the morning, above the gorge. You’re so close to the walking track, but have even better views. The room was clean and comfortable and Saeed was a great host. Ram the chef in the nearby hotel was a really kind man and made delicious food. I’d highly recommend staying here.
