Heinz Manor House is a beautiful traditional farmhouse which have been maintained well. It was very nice to make ourselves home in such a homestead, which was made very accessible for guests. We loved all the original elements still there, such as the window shutters, the furniture, the windows, etc. The host JD was very friendly and relaxed, and also the cleaning lady was so kind and calm. After a lot of traveling this was definitely a place where we could relax! We liked the ambiance, the location as well (not too far from Stellenbosch) and the breakfast was amazing. In the fridge was a bottle of wine as welcome. This place was high value for money!

Stunning location, loved the game park just behind, so much so we went for the game drive (recommend) and brought some binoculars! Lovely quiet place to stay, but near some places to eat and shop too. Owner was knowledgeable and really helpful too. We really want to return!

The ground and building were glorious and the staff very approachable and helpful. The Friday night BBQ was the highlight, eating pizzas and drinking wine under the illuminated tree boulevard was wonderful.

Situated amongst vineyards, the Vrede en Lust manor house dates back to 1688 and has been converted into elegant cottages with open fireplaces. The extensive gardens include an outdoor pool.

We stayed in one of the vineyard rooms, which was really lovely! Nice big bedroom and big bathroom and massive bed! Very light and spacious with everything you need, good A/C, balcony etc, the room was fantastic and the views over the vineyard were lovely. It takes about 30s to walk from the rooms to the reception, which is attached to the Savoye restaurant (the site's main restaurant), of which the pool is right in front of, which makes it a really great place to stay in terms of really easily dipping in and out of the pool > to breakfast > popping back to the room etc. The staff were lovely too. There's a complimentary wine tasting with the booking which was great and really informative, our staff member was excellent. A small shop just by the wine tasting too. It's one of the smaller vineyards but I would say that it made it a really lovely place to stay. I'd definitely recommend!

Incredible views and wonderful service from the staff. We arrived very late in the evening and everything was ready and waiting for us to settle in. They even checked in on us to make sure we had arrived safely! Also, the tastiest wine in Franschhoek (no jokes!)
