Thanks to the owner gave us the most reasonable route advice, Zhangjiajie had a great time. The hotel rooms are comfortable, the restaurant meals are delicious, the breakfast is rich in content, the self-service laundry is very convenient, and it is too much needed to come back from climbing mountains!

We arrived in China by train from Hong Kong. We came completely unprepared, without roaming, without Chinese yuan, without a hotel address in Chinese, without a route plan for the park. By some miracle, a local guy brought us from the train station to the hotel using GPS coordinates. At the hotel, we paid for our transfer, were treated to tea, bought tickets to the park, and were given a route plan. The staff didn't speak English, but we understood each other perfectly with the help of a translator. They helped us solve all our problems and plan our days in this area. They always found and brought us to the hotel by car, considering that we didn't have internet. In general, it was delightful! And the hotel itself was very comfortable. The view, cleanliness, style. Everything was superb!

Tucked just 300 meters from the South Gate of the National Forest Park, the location is unbeatable—we could reach the park entrance in a leisurely 5-minute stroll. Waking up to mist-shrouded quartzite peaks from our private balcony felt like living in a painting. The hosts went above and beyond: they prepared herbal foot baths after long hiking days, customized a vegetarian breakfast with local wild vegetable dumplings, and even arranged a private bilingual guide who revealed hidden viewpoints ahead of tourist crowds. The room seamlessly blended traditional Tusheng architecture with modern comforts (think heated floors and rainfall showers). What truly stood out was the proactive service—they contacted us pre-arrival to coordinate luggage storage and secured park tickets during peak season. If you seek authenticity over luxury, this family-run gem delivers soul-stirring moments you won’t find at chain hotels.

What a splendid spot. Tucked right by the park entrance, it offers remarkable convenience without sacrificing an ounce of tranquillity. Waking up to those peaks each morning was rather special. Zhangjiajie is truly one of the most beautiful places on this planet. We came to China from Australia just to see if the world from the movie Avatarreally exists—and the scenery is absolutely stunning, both astonishing and praiseworthy. The people here are also wonderful, making us feel very safe. Everyone in our travel group agrees that China is amazing, with everything so well-organized. At the airport, staff were arranged to assist us and even put on a simple welcome performance. The staff’s English was quite good, and they were able to offer travel advice and make arrangements for us. With their help, we purchased attraction tickets and guide services—it was simply perfect. The food here is also delicious and, most importantly, very affordable. I really have to thank God and thank Avatarfor this experience.

Perfectly charming private villas tucked away in the resort. Awfully peaceful not sharing walls, just the birdsong. Staff were frightfully helpful, and the breakfast buffet ticked all the boxes - proper sausages and decent coffee included. Stayed late July. Entirely comfortable and rather better than expected. Would absolutely return. Jolly good value for the quality, quite dashed reasonable for what you get.
