The camp is beautifully located just outside the Yala national park. Tents were cosy and safe. The staff was welcoming and so kind to us. Food was delicious, a lot of coconut was used. Guided safari and the bushwalk were the highlight of our stay. We learnt a lot about animals and saw some rare night birds as well. Thank you Makini for all the amazing memories. Wish you the best!

The hotel is amazing. Hotel as a building seems to cooperate with nature, is surrounded by beautiful trees, lake, animals! Personel is really helpful, always smiling. We visited 4 hotels during our Sri Lanka Trip and that one was the best. If you consider safari in Yala just take that hotel and my recommendation is stay at least 4 nights. Belize me you will rest and relax like never before :) We had half board types, both breakfast and dinners were excellent!

it was an incredible experience from start to finish, with an amazing staff team that made it the brilliant experience it was; they make a real difference. The room and facilities are gorgeous, with a lot of attention to detail to all aspects of accommodation, dining area and safari game drives. We were always well looked after in terms of food and drink, you even have a tasty snack box for the safari drive! The game drive is professionally delivered by a great team who are knowledgeable and familiar with the park; with their experience and some luck of course, we saw leopards on both drives we were entitled to with our stay! The dining experience was top, with a great menu for both food and drinks. We even had a beach side evening meal that was spectacular. Overall we cannot recommend more, and are highly interested in returning and visiting their other 2 establishments in Sri Lanka.

Great location for yala safari. Resort is stunning. Staff are kind and friendly and helpful. Spa was worth doing, I went at night so I didn’t waste the day at the spa. Gym was great. Pool was unreal. All the food was great. Great breakfast. I had a great stay and will be back.

Located in the deep south of Sri Lanka, Chena Huts is just 5-minute away from Yala National Park.

Our experience was absolutely excellent in every aspect! The room was impeccably clean and comfortable, the meals were delicious, and the kindness and service of the staff were outstanding. Our ranger for the safaris was knowledgeable and made our excursions unforgettable. The security on site ensured we felt safe at all times. The manager was attentive and accommodating. In summary, everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

The hotel is in a perfect location, right next to the main entrance of Yala National Park. It also has its own watering hole where different animals come to (we saw buffalo, deer, crocodiles, pelicans and other birds). You can see this right from the hotel pool area! There are also cheeky monkeys running around, but the hotel staff always ensure top security, escorting guests to their chalets after dark. We stayed in the beach chalet and had an amazing view of the ocean. Upon finding out that we’re on our honeymoon, Saman, manager from the poolside restaurant made our stay very special by going above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable stay.
