Decorated with iconic chandeliers, a statement wall of richly colored dunes in the lobby and textured accent nickel walls throughout, the hotel resembles an oasis in the desert with all luxurious accommodations adorned with floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies that offer views of the Gulf or palaces. Really great hotel. We had half board, the food was excellent. The pool is normal size, lifeguards, waiters, cafe - everything is great. The room size is great, the view is gorgeous. The staff were great to work with and were caring. Next time we come back to Abu Dhabi there will be no question of choosing a hotel.

Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri has luxurious rooms decorated in a modern Arabic style with warm, rich colours and chic, elegant furnishings. Each room has a balcony or terrace where a view of the garden or Arabian Gulf can be admired. Breakfast was incredible, a huge selection of fresh food, from all different cuisines. I personally cannot have gluten/dairy and didn’t make this known, I didn’t have to as there’s a gluten free selection and a lot of variety so I could eat around my requirements without having to alert them. The staff are great, especially Jem in the horizon club. From the doormen, to the room service, to the waiting on staff - they’re all fantastic, alert and more than helpful. The hotel is beautiful, very grand and very relaxing. The bed is extremely comfortable, the air con is fantastic. The room service menu is affordable too. Absolutely fantastic stay, would definitely recommend paying a little extra for the horizon club. They have taxis on demand, as soon as you’d like a taxi to go anywhere - you just walk to the front of the hotel and they call one over, we travelled to Dubai by taxi, the mosque, the presidential palace all without booking in advance
