The staff were all very friendly and made sure I had a great experience from booking a Tatacoa tour to generally making me feel welcome. Andres was particularly helpful, letting me check in early and keep my room a little later when I checked out. The location for the Tatacoa Desert is perfect and I was surprised how good the food was (particularly the grilled chicken and limonada, the chef was very friendly too). The value for money is incredible.

Without a doubt this is the best hostel in Colombia. It is filled with color and joy, making every moment you spend there fantastic. Comfortable beds, real sheets and an owner, Gerard, with high octane energy that is infectious. All you will find here are endless smiles and new friends. If Michelin gave stars to hostels, this would be a 3 star. Worth the trip to San Augustin just to stay at Hostal Bambu.

Definitely the best hotel in Villavieja. Not a Ritz either but solid 3 stars. Quiet location, yet only 3 blocks from the center. Spacious rooms with well working AC and very good mattresses. Nice atmosphere - upscale traveller style, free indoor parking, little pool, nice patio. Very friendly and helpful owner and nice personnel. THE place to stay in Villavieja...

This was seriously the best hotel I've ever been to! Such a nice place, the most friendly people that work here, outstanding service and amazing food in the restaurant! I loved staying here to explore San Agustin and the area around. I will definitely come back in the future!

This is a special place. A true five-star facility. Our room was gorgeous and comfortable. The staff was professional,gracious, and attentive. The food was excellent.

The hosts are really wonderful and try to help with everything you need, the red dessert is only 20 min walk away, so the location is superb. Also, its really nice place, nicely decorated and realxing atmosphere.
