Glamping Sites in Amed

Nice and calm place with fabulous views over the north-east coastline. Staff was very friendly and the food and drinks were also very good.

Our stay at Uma Buug was the highlight of our latest trip to Bali. We loved staying in the traditional,thatch roof hut, surrounded by rice paddies and the beautiful backdrop of Mt Agung. Our lovely host organized an amazing 4 hour hike through the rice paddies, jungle and village, meeting lots of local people on the way. Our hut had beautiful, fresh white sheets and the shared bathroom was modern and beautifully clean. The breakfast prepared for us was lovely and freshly made and we look forward to staying at Uma Buug again.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this glamping site in Bali — a truly unique and memorable way to enjoy the island. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home, from creating a cosy bonfire for marshmallows to hosting a delicious BBQ. Our children loved spending time in the river fishing with their rods and exploring nature — it was a perfect outdoor adventure for them. Despite the rustic charm, the tent was very comfortable with a comfy mattress and air conditioning, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploring Virgin Beach. The rustic feel adds to the overall charm and authenticity of the experience, making it a great escape from the usual hotel stay.

We stayed for 2 nights and rented 2 'cabins' and 1 wooden 'tent'. The tent had an outside bathroom and a toilet as did one cabin - the third had an ensuite bathroom, all with hot water. Small kitchen was handy for refilling the Aqua water and making coffee and tea (both provided), and a table with chairs for eating. The accommodation sits within a beautiful garden, clearly a result of the host's passion for flowers, trees and shrubs. A little pond full of koy carp who were keen to nibble our fingers, was a lovely feature. The rooms were comfortable and clean and as it's colder in Besakih than in the south, a fan was sufficient. The location is fantastic for exploring the temple complex. Lots of choice for food nearby and shops with souvenirs. The host was extremely kind, including lending us traditional Balinese blouses and sash. The restaurant has a magnificent view on the nature of Bali. The villas are located a bit lower in the middle of the jungle. The villa is really cute and comfy. You really feel alone in there. It is perfectly made for its purpose: a stay in the middle of the Balinese nature. We absolutely loved everything, including the food at the restaurant that propose Italian and Mexican food. The service is amazing. Edi was always here for us whenever needed, advising us on what to visit around Sidemen. Always smiling and really welcoming! We met the owner of the place who was truly nice to us making sure we’re having a nice time. We highly recommend it if you’re a nature lover !
