I don’t even have the words to describe how amazing this place is! Everything in the house is so well thought out, with all the amenities you could need—tea, two types of coffee machines, a dishwasher, toasters, a grill, and more. The house is very warm and cozy. The desk man noticed I was smoking outside the hotel when my husband checked in...witout being asked he gave us a room w a balcony on the river side of the hotel w a privacy screen, an ashtray, patio set and pretty flowers as well! The room was soundproof, well appointed and clean. The buffet breakfast and coffee were scrumptious, the staff was very kind and welcoming, I would recommend this hotel as a top choice for all.

We really liked the authenticity of place, it is older hotel with clean rooms, non-effort check in. Room was really sweet and cozy. We stayed there as base for visiting Salzkammergut lakes and nature. The city is self is also really nice for waling around.

Hotel Garni Pension zur Wacht is 4 km from Lake Wolfgang and 7 km from Bad Ischl. The rooms overlook the mountains and the garden. The 18-hole Salzkammergut Golf Course is just a 3-minute drive away.
