The stunning location, set literally at the end of 20+ km of unpaved road, on its own lagoon, a few metres from the ocean, with only the sounds of the birds and frogs to disturb the peace. The owners, super helpful and friendly, sociable but never intrusive. The property itself, self-contained units with rustic simplicity and total privacy.

The property was very clean and Javier was very helpful setting up tours and transportation to the airport. Javier is a guide at Corcovado and is connected to the guiding community so he will set up tours that work best for your schedule. The guidebooks say book the tours months in advance so I was anxious that the they would be full. I needed to just chill out and know everything would be handled properly. And It was. Don’t expect a lot of communication before arrival —everything will be good. Pura Vida! Bring cash for the tours.

What a great place. Clean and comfortable accommodation at a good price. Fans to keep you cool (or AC if you booked a different room). Spotless shared kitchen. Grocery store across the street. About 12 minute walk from the beach was doable with my backpack. Friendly and helpful people. Quiet at night. Stored my stuff while I overnighted in Corcovado. Ticks all the boxes!

Absolutely wonderful stay! I got welcomed by the very friendly and helpful owner and a baby Tucan that he rescued from the road! The location is beautifully situated in the jungle and gives you the opportunity to spot many animals around the property! Nice and spacious rooms as well. I would love to come back!

As was stated in the previous reviews, the accomodation is super nice, comfy, well equipped, in a beautiful location further from the town in the middle of the nature, if you travel by car, the 4x4 wheel is needed to get there, and if you dont have a car (like us), I still recommend this place! Mike is a great host, friendly, very helpful, nothing was a problem, very cool, giving us tips, managing arrangements for us... We really enjoyed our stay here. Pura vida!

One of the most incredible places to stay in Costa Rica! The cabin is very rustic and surrounded by lush trees, birds and wildlife - we had hummingbirds flying around! There’s a river nearby which is a great place for swimming and we saw lots of Tucan, Macaws and monkeys on the road leading to Los Platos. If youre looking for a quiet escape with no tourists, this is perfect! The host is one of the most genuine and kind people i have met! he also does guided hikes but these need to be booked in advance. The internet was fast and reliable (10mbps) and the kitchen was equipped with a stove top, fridge, coffee machine (coffee provided) and all the cutlery and pots/pans you need. So bring your own groceries as there are no restaurants or shops nearby. Theres a fan in the room and only a cold shower but thats just what we wanted after spending the days out in the heat! We arrived using public transport to La Palma and then took a 3000 colones taxi to Corcovado Guide House which is 2 km from the town. Thank you so much for a wholesome stay!
