We had a great time at Smile Jungle Hostel :) The owner is really friendly and did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. At first, we booked for 3 nights and then we extended for one more week because it's fantastic! The breakfast is very nice and made with love. I love the chilled, non-party vibes, the cinema evenings with the lovely projector, and the surroundings full of animals and jungle sounds. Highly recommended!

A very comfy place. Really close to the center of Puerto Viejo. Those who assisted me were extremely friendly and helped me with everything.

Very organic, relaxing vibes, great and helpful owner 😊 you can get easily by local buses to Cahuita, Porto viejo, Manzanillo etc. or visit cacao museum on the other side of the road. We really love the whole location.

This place is fantastic! Highly recommend it. Sylvio is a great host, and very attentive. The pool was ideal with our kids 5+9 years. Good to know that the restaurant is temporarily closed but will open again in a couple of months. This was no issue for us, as we enjoyed the communal kitchen very much!

Well designed, bright, spacious rooms, with both a purified water dispenser and coffee machine. Lovey individual sitting area/deck with comfortable furniture outside each room. Restaurant was excellent. Especially liked the deck overlooking the sea. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

the owner was accomodating :), we were the only people staying there so we had the shared patio to ourselves. it was close enough to everything. Just to be aware, the container means the room is literally inside of the "shipping container" which is a pretty cool concept if you are up for it ;)

We stayed for more than a week and booked the large room with a view of the sea - this was the perfect home-base for Puerto Viejo. Our room was very comfy and had a well-appointed kitchen. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the balcony with the view of the beach, the sea, and the monkeys and sloths which occasionally passed through the trees. The location is great, with a few steps to the beach. One needs about 10 minutes on foot to the main area of Puerto Viejo. On the other side, the beatiful Cocles beach is not that far either. The hosts are lovely, offered many suggestions and contacts, and were very helpful. There is a restaurant attached to the property, which was great for lazy dinners, with delicious food. I realise I'm very complimentary, but we just really, really loved it here and just wish we could have stayed even longer.
