Breakfast is amazing, with a-la-carte eggs, and buffet with yogurt parfaits, breads, and other snacks. Beautiful dining room. On-site parking is an authentic local experience, but much appreciated. Staff were really wonderful and helpful. After-hours check in was flawless.

Haven Cottage is an amazing place to stay. The owners Amanda and Mark make you feel very welcome. Their love for running a B&B and indulging guests is felt in every detail, from the furnishing and decoration of the rooms to the delicious breakfast. Mark gave us some very useful recommendations to explore the beautiful surroundings. Amanda's afternoon cakes are superb. EV-charger at private parking worked very well. It felt like 'Heaven' in Haven Cottage.

The hosts, Adie & Mandy are fantastic - so happy to share recommendations of places to visit, where to eat etc. Our room was very comfortable & had everything you could possibly need. The whole place is spotlessly clean and the breakfast is truly amazing- such a great choice & everything is cooked to order, so perfectly fresh. The location is ideal as you’re just off the main road, so easy to walk to the shops & restaurants but far enough away to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep Would have no hesitation in recommending Brantfell House if you’re looking to stay in Ambleside

Nice location, our room was large and the hideaway was a perfect spot of a mini get away. Enjoyed the breakfast each morning with the lake view. Staff was really lovely. Appreciated their green policy and took advantage of not taking housekeeping for a drink. Having parking onsite was a nice surprise although the parking spaces are tight but that’s understandable. Beautiful hydrangeas on the walk path up to the lakehouse.
