Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.

Mark is a very friendly and helpful host. He prepares a yummy breakfast (yogurt with fresh fruits, porridge, pancakes with maple syrup and all sorts of cooked scottish breakfast). It’s a beautiful (and quiet) guest house within walking distance to the restaurants.

Second visit to this fantastic guest house. Great hosts, beautiful rooms, comfy beds, superb breakfast. Was lucky enough to be upgraded to a larger room and gifted some black pudding to take home. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Great staff, Helena was a great host and really kind for them to show me round the chalet accommodation for future visits. Quiet room and lovely breakfast. Will definitely be back. Thanks Paul

Kirsty and Kev are great hosts and provide really wonderful breakfasts with a wide range of options. The guest house is ideally located for visiting Aviemore and the surrounding area. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area.
