Oh where do I begin this was the most amazing place to stay. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The hotel is stunning and in a stunning location. The room wow wow wow, bed was comfy and the room was huge the bathroom was fitted with all modern fittings and features, this is our favourite place we’ve stayed in the UK. We had dinner in the restaurant OMG it was the best meal we’ve had in England. Breakfast was also so so good. The staff were all amazing and friendly. I would book to stay here if I was in this area again one million per cent.

The breakfast was an absolute delight, freshly prepared and the porridge is simply delicious. What makes this bed and breakfast really special are the hosts themselves. They were always on hand to give tips for excursions and made us feel like we were not just guests but friends. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

I was greeted as I parked in the free car park, taken to reception where I was immediately given a small double rather than the single I booked, I'm 6'3" so he wanted to make sure I was comfortable, the room was very clean, the WiFi was good, the shower was hot and the bed was really comfortable.

great location and the room had all the facilities we required for our 2 night stay. parking was nearby and everything in the walled city was accessible by foot.

The Hoist Claire was so welcoming and very helpful. Our room was lovely and comfortable.

This family-owned and run hotel is conveniently located just 5 minutes from the train station and the town centre of historic Chester.

Good customer service with a good sense of humour, as our television didn’t work and the gentleman came back with a cord that made it work. Our room was nice and spacious and was surprised with the “closet bathroom” was very interesting to us, as we’ve never seen one like this before. He also gave us good directions to the city centre.

Firstly, I was extremely impressed with lovely couple providing the accommodation. Upon contacting them for some assistance with locating the property, they went above and beyond with their help in doing so. Furthermore, they helped me with the information I needed to locate the place that was my main reason for visiting this lovely area. The property wasn't what I was expecting, it was much more. Not only immaculately clean, warm, and tastefully presented, once I met the hosts and was shown around, I received total privacy which was required in order to absorb just how lovely the place is. Phill. and his lovely wife Toni are there if you need them, but trust me, all you require and more, is already there for your arrival. The only problem I had was that my stay was too short, I wished I had booked for a longer stay in what is a lovely part of the country and exceptional accommodation. I will most certainly return for a longer stay very soon and cannot recommend No.78 enough. I won't be adding any photos because you have to see it to believe it!
