Friendly family run business. Best welcome I've had at a guest house ever. Instantly felt at home, love this place and the people. Huge kitchen, shared area, great Internet, very clean, lots of facilities including gym equipment, would stay here again to be around the people here, truly good people and I'm very thankful to them.

Chose the 40 Winks as they had interesting rooms- a real boutique hotel and so much nicer than the standard white box you get. We stayed in the Gala Room which was AMAZING! The bed was so comfy and having a bath in the lovely roll top whilst admiring the views of the Cathedral was a great start to the morning. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was delicious (and filling). Location superb too.

Beautifully appointed,large room. The breakfast room was lovely. Everything worked well and it was quiet yet close to everything. A very comfortable and welcoming place. The breakfast was very nice and freshly cooked.

Everything needed for a gang of fixers working away. Staff nice. Good bar downstairs and good food a walk across the road. Would deffo stay here again.
