A real gem to find; truly a beautiful small hotel located in the old part of the town. The owner family and the staff are exceptionally good hosts. Nice, clean and comfortable room. If you are looking for a calm and peaceful vacation in Makarska, I would highly recommend Casa Columba.

Nino is a wonderful host. The accommodation deserves a 10 – everything is extremely clean and fresh. The sea view from the balcony is splendid. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bathroom as well, with functional showers and towels. I felt at home, but what I loved the most was the peace, the tranquility of that place, and the comfortable beds. I will definitely come back. Everything was according to our expectations, AND BEYOND! The bed, the view, how clean the apartment was, how close everything is (the beach is a 2 minute walk)..it was excellent. The hosts were extremely friendly, always willing to chitchat, helping you with anything you could possibly need. They have room cleaning service every morning. A lovely lady cleans the whole apartment while you're not inside; if you don't want to be bothered, you hang up a notice on the doorknob and you're free to sleep until whenever without being disturbed. Perfect for when you have a couple drinks too much, or when you want to be with your partner in peace! =) A really good system's put in place, which just shows how long they've been doing this and how well they're organized.. When we were leaving, we had a lovely talk. She gave us parting gifts AND also called a taxi for us which was cheaper than the local's. Loved everything about the stay.
