I loved the small cottage right next to the lake and the balcony to relax on. The bed was very comfortable with warm duvet. There was a fan but I didn't need it as the the weather was just nice. I loved the shower's very good water pressure and warm water. Some more there was a warm welcome as soon as I got off the ferry and the helpful staff made me feel welcome throughout my stay right up until I stepped back on the ferry. Loved the breakfast so much! Very tasty, filling and healthy.

A perfect stay in a beautiful Samosir Island! Dimmer is a very kind and attentive host who cares a lot for the wellbeing of his guests. The rooms are impeccably clean. Also, The location in Tuktuk is great with nice restaurants around. Also, the hot showers are a great bonus! I would definitely stay at Matraville again anytime.

Probably one of the best places I have ever stayed in all my travels. Room was incredible value for money, food was home cooked and delicious. I ate there literally almost every night, I'm actually going to miss the banana and chocolate/cheese pancakes and Rendang Chicken. I booked four nights, but ended up staying two weeks! Owners are some of the friendliest people I have met, and will help you with anything. Highest recommendation on Lake Toba.

Our stay here was lovely! We enjoyed the quite location of this property, the small patio in front of our huge room and the pavillons at the lake front. There were a lot of restaurants in walkable distance and a nearly new scooter for rent.

Spent two perfect and happy days at Hisar's guesthouse. Mama Evy and Hisar were very helpful. I went to the wrong pier and Hisar came to take me by bike and helped me plan my day trip. Mama Evy is an amazing woman who has brought up the children and cooked delicious meals. Chatting with them really felt like home and I will come back again in the future! Thank you for your care
