This place is set in a truly spectacular setting. The café/chill area is such a nice and relaxing place to sit down. The guesthouse is walking distance from shops/restaurants and the lake nearby which is beautiful. Santosh the owner couldn’t have been more welcoming and obliging. My hut was clean and spacious, with a little terrace at the back offering a stunning view. I was unaware before getting to Hampi that you can't cross the river by boat during monsoon season so it takes approximately 40 minutes in tuk tuk. I would recommend for those his stay in South Hampi (which I also did for a couple of nights) to also spend at least a night or two in North Hampi, as it offers something completely different –beautiful green countryside and natural beauty!

Rami welcomed us with the warmest heart and was so helpful with everything we needed. All staff was super friendly and warm. The huts are located in a beautiful area and the cafe serves lovely home made food. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay! The rooms are clean and comfy. Ganish the owner is nice and kind, he will help you with everything you need and explain in details about the area and history, the food is great. Couldn‘t recommend more!

Budget friendly and luxurious, good facilities, love to stay here

The room was very spacious and clean. Resort was also maintained well. Very friendly and helpful staff. They helped with guide booking. Good wifi in the property. The location is in north Hampi which is about 15-20 mins from the popular locations in North Hampi. This resort is surrounded by boulders and lush green paddy fields. The environment is serene and ideal for relaxing. Fresh towels, soaps, shampoo, a kettle, glasses, and toiletries were provided, fulfilling all the basic needs. Cafe set up is superb. One can spend quality leisure time in the cafe in the evening. Food options exceeded expectations. We could not believe what a superb value for money the food was, given the quantity, quality & the authenticity of the cuisine. The floor seating in the restaurant is very comfortable & we really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. There is ample parking & our driver was well taken care of. Also liked how easy the property made our stay they have arranged scooter for the sight seeing, customise the food at some extent, made our anniversary extra special with special request they are offering arranging cakes and decorations big thanks for making our extra special... Strongly recommend this place for any one visiting the areas around Hampi.

Very nicely decorated. The outside sitting area was perfect for us to relax in and the use of the kitchen was very helpful for us to make chai and our own breakfast. The staff were so friendly and helpful to us too and we could rent scooters from them.

GopiHomestay was excellent in all aspects. Karim and his family are lovely. A delicious and home-prepared breakfast was provided daily around 8.30 (you can ask to have it a bit earlier or later). Filtered water is available for you to fill up waterbottles. You can also organize to have dinner at the homestay. Our room was on the first floor (or second floor if you count ground floor as first). It was super cute and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and there is a heater for hot water showering in the ensuite bathroom. There is a fan and AC in the room. There is also a rooftop area with a lovely view over the parts of the town and the hillsides in the distance. The area itself is quiet but numerous cafes/restaurants, an ATM, travel center and pharmacy are within walking distance/quick auto-rickshaw ride away. The homestay is about a 10-15 minute auto-rickshaw ride away from the monuments of Hampi and the Hampi old town/bazaar area. Karim was extremely helpful in organizing our sightseeing with an auto-rickshaw. If you choose this option, I recommened to ask for the driver named Mada. He drove us around for a fair price and was excellent, providing us with good and accurate details but never overwhelming. He was flexible with timing and lunch, so we could explore the sights at our own pace and take breaks as needed. Whenever we were ready, Mada was there to take us to the next place. It is worth remembering that this is a rural area and power cuts might occur. GopiHomestay has a backup battery, so you will never be in the dark, but small appliances (e.g. hairdryer, kettle) can damage the battery and should not be used when the backup battery is on. During our stay, we changed our long-distance travel plans and Karim helped us organize everything, practically at the last minute, going well above and beyond to make sure we were well sorted. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to our friends. Highly recommended.
