ThailandAn adorable little guesthouse run by a charming Japanese man and his family. They were incredibly helpful and hospitable, and had a host of suggestions for us to make the most of our brief stay, including sharing his supplies so we could enjoy the local bath house. Very attentive hosts! Himeji isn't a bustling metropolis so we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the local neighbourhood. Excellent location, a short walk to the main sights and Himeji station. Tomo-san and his family are incredibly warm and welcoming. The guesthouse is tucked away in a quiet area, but is a short stroll to the awe-inspiring Himeji Castle, and other attractions. The hostel is inside a shopping street market, very convenient to eat out or buy things. The main train and bus station are also close, just 10-15min walking. Lovely and clean little guest house with very friendly hosts. We booked out the 6 bed (3 bunks) room for my wife and 2 young boys and was perfect. If staying longer probably want something a bit bigger. Close to a local station one stop from Shinkansen station so very easy transfer coming in from Hiroshima.
