Good facilities, small store in the hostel for some food. Delivery of bento boxes for dinner was a good extra! Very nice private onsen!

Excellent place and an excellent host doing far more than one could expect to help make sure we get a nice stay. Proactively helping with planning busses for hikes. Nice in-house Onsen. Really nice food and lunchboxes.

Everything was perfect, the room was spacious and had a very comfortable queen sized bed, the place was quiet and you can get a good night sleep. The shared facilities are clean and the kitchen is quite big. I enjoyed a beautiful sunset in the porch. The guy working there was super friendly and helpful. A good location if you want to shorten the walk to Hongu.

It is a small town, actually not too many options in the town. It is great that we choose this place, house owner is very nice, she kindly offer assistance to us and introduced every facilities in her house. The location is very good, 15 minutes walking distance to the main tourist spot. There is small shop selling good Japan beef near the guest house, if you like cooking, you can buy some food and cook in the house.

Clean, tidy self check was easy. Bedrooms have air conditioning, tv and comfortable beds The room facilities are practical: a basin, cabinet for toothpaste/brushes and shaver. Cupboard space in room to store clothes and personal property. shower facilities are : sex divided, cleaned daily. Towels provided for guests. Also showering products,.Laundry facilities are good: washing machine cost 300yen and 100 yen for dryer. Good communal area where a view of river and mountains which have a green covering of trees and plants,. Eagles can also be seen from the communal area's windows. Kitchen facilities are very good: electric cooker consists of: 2 X hobs a grill. Pots, pan, cutlery, crockery, kettle, coffee percolator, fridge and freezer accompany the kitchen. The property is cleaned regularly. There is a bus stop outside the property which links up with other transport networks just a few minutes away.A supermarket is 5 minutes away: has all the products for one's stay.The centre of town is one short bus stop outside the property, you could walk there in 10 minutes.

Very homely feeling during our stay in Hongu. Mandy not only made us feel welcome but looked after and took us around as if we were family. She also went out of her way to organise a taxi to find us when we got lost during our hike - without her I am not sure what would've happened. Both home prepped meals were amazing, and the acupuncture service was extremely professional. We really enjoyed this authentic Japanese homestay experience and hope to be back soon!

5 of other pilgrims booked the same hotel which is this one because it is the only one that's open during low season! The owner is incredibly nice and made me feel I wanna move to Japan! This is my first time in this country and the staff here is super friendly and made me feel really home, even better than the 5 star hotels in Osaka. The owner even speaks Chinese and helped me arrange massage. Impeccable. Thank you so much!
