It was well placed for sightseeing, easily reachable from the Matsue Station by bus. There are a lot of good restaurants within walking distance. Emi-san the owner, lives nearby and comes by every morning to give us the ideas for sightseeing and restaurants. Her English is excellent and she was really willing to help us enjoy the stay. She really made our stay in Matsue more pleasant.

The owner is the most kind and considerate gentleman I have ever met. He went out of his way twice to return lost items to me, He always has a lovely smile on his face and is very nice to chat to. He even went out of his way to translate an english version of the local restaurants menu for use for guests. The beds were super comfy, the kitchen area is well stocked for any use you may have, the toilet and shower area are clean as is the communal area.

I loved staying in Yohaku. It is charming and calm, I gelft really good staying in this café - hotel. Kohei is a really nice host that makes you feel at ease and engages easily in conversation while making you the best hand drop coffee ! I would easily come back !

    Yuji, our host, was very helpful and welcoming. We had some very good conversations with him. Also, he kindly offered to give us a lift to the train/bus station to save us a 30 minute walk which we gratefully accepted. We virtually had the Guesthouse to ourselves with only one other guest there whom we hardly ever saw. We would stay here again if we came back.

    Friendly staff, quiet area and very comfortable amenities. Four outlets to a bunk, shower stalls and toilets all reasonable size. Nicest bunk mattress I’ve had in years. Been to many hostels in Japan and this was one of the most comfortable.

    The host was extremely polite and helpful. I wouldn't be able to continue my bike touring journey without his help - for which I'm still deeply thankful. I hope you've got your rope back through the mail! Great couple of food options nearby and the neighbourhood is quiet. There is a garage with tools which was a wonderful addition for a biker.

    Spacious & well equipped. A beautiful guesthouse with decent & cozy decoration. Comfy beds & smart design that allows quiet corners for every guest in their sleeping area. Cozy dining room & neat kitchenwares.
