The hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly, and the room was comfortable and clean. The husband spoke very good English and explained everything well. He was also happy to have a good chat and was quite entertaining. The wife couldn't speak any English but was extremely kind and if you can speak some Japanese she was great to talk to as well. They also offered us some snacks and coffee which was nice. Overall a very fun experience and would recommend to anyone who doesn't mind staying in someone's home.

We had the pleasure of staying at this property, and it was a fantastic experience. The two people who ran the hotel were extremely nice and friendly, and their cats were also lovely to see. The area is very secluded and peaceful, very idyllic. The shuttle service between Yumoto-Onsen and the hotel was an absolute lifesaver.

We came to Nikko to explore the nature and we were lucky enough to get just that. The place is near the lake and the bus station, the room was spacious and had everything you'd need. The true value however is in the host Takeru who really helped us a lot with recommendations of what to see and do in the vicinity.
