The rooms were comfortable and clean. Futon beds and tatami woven floors were a nice touch if you want to experience something traditional. We were really close to the beach with beautiful views of Lake Biwa. The host was fantastic and very helpful. Drove us to the train station herself as taxis were hard to come by. Many thanks for the stay!

The son and mother running the guesthouse were wonderful. It's a beautiful location, and because it is fairly far from the station, the son picked us up in his van at the station. We did have to call him to get us (which we knew ahead of time), so it's important to have the capability to do so or otherwise arrange it with the guesthouse host. We thoroughly enjoyed the onsen at the hotel with included yukatas and our very spacious room (had a heater/AC as well!). The sheets and yukatas and towels were impeccably clean and pressed. The son and mother had a lovely cafe with free beverages downstairs, and they also had a wonderful breakfast we paid for in the morning. I feel this guesthouse is truly a hidden gem and highly recommend it to anyone considering it. Easily one of the best places I have stayed at in Japan. My husband and I were so charmed during the whole experience.

The owner was extremely friendly and adaptable to my situation, she was very kind and even let me keep my bags at the property ling after checkout time so that I could explore more of kyoto. The beds are comfortable as well as the toilet and shower facilities.

It is near to Hira Station. The host is very friendly. The place is clean and with a shared kitchen. The view of Lake Biwa from my room is superb.

Great place to stay! Excellent location, lovely rooms and very helpful staff. The staff were very friendly and helped where we needed. The futons were great. Bathrooms were excellent and the laundry facilities very helpful. Terrific place to stay in Kyoto. Very close to convenience stores, restaurants, shops and transport.

We had a wonderful stay. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, giving us useful advice on how to move around the town. Emiko speaks very good English. The hotel room looks just like in the photos posted on their website, and everything is very clean. The breakfast was fresh and slightly different each morning. The hotel is also well placed, just a few minutes walking from the bus station and the Keihan train Line (which reaches many touristic objectives in the city and up to Osaka).

The room is very clean and near central station. The service was excellent, i had a problem with my low back and the female owner profided me an extra mattress, she brought our suitcases down stairs and even drove us to the central station because all the taxis were occupied !! This lady is a rare gem!

Beautifully designed room. Very clean. Great facilities even with washing machine for clothes. Lovely central neighbourhood, not too busy but interesting. Comfy beds. Quite spacious. Staff helpfully allowed us to check in early.
