I highly recommend this place. The owner is so incredibly friendly and helpful and gave me a great immersion into Japanse culture and values, not only by the great conversation we had but also by the way he supported me during my stay and even afterwards. The house breathes Japanese history and has a wonderful spacious feel. I stayed in a beautiful room in Japanese style and there is a great living room to read and relax. I am very grateful for this experience and intend definitely to return.

It’s a beautiful house and a quite area ! I had a great time with guesthouse Yashima! Everything is clean and tidy. House owner is very kind and warm. This place is definitely a great place to stay if you wanna experience Japanese culture and food in Takamatsu . Also it’s very convenient to visit all the islands around this area!

Wonderful stay in the guest house! The owner is such a lovely person, helpful, gives you a lot of information, answers all emails quickly. Because of the idea with going to Onomichi I could do the shimanami kaido the next day! Thanks! Bedroom is very spacious, kitchen is fully equipped, lots of information folders and travel books! Very nice guesthouse, located in the center of Takamatsu. Only minutes away from the shopping street nearby, and about 15 minutes from the stunning Ritsurin Garden. The staff was able to speak English well enough for me to be able to check in easily. They even gave me a map of the city center with a whole lot of restaurant, cafe, and bar recommendations featuring the local food of Takamatsu.
