The host is a very nice woman. She is always available to help. Unfortunately, I forgot my jacket at the hostel, but she texted me and even went to the post office to send it back to me. The bed was super comfortable!

Takeshi and his wife, Yumi, are excellent hosts: friendly, helpful, and always accommodating throughout my stay at their guest house, sharing useful information regarding transportation and options in the city. I stayed in the shared male dormitory, which can host up to four guests. While the room can feel a bit tight at full capacity, this is quite common for Japanese homes and properties, so it was not an issue. What stood out to me most was the exceptional cleanliness of all the shared facilities. Everything was spotless and well maintained, which made my stay very comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend this guest house. I would gladly stay here again in the future.

There were many thoughtful details in the preparation to make our stay feel more homely, and the concept is cute. This was my second time staying with Yuji and Ryo, and it remains one of the best experiences I’ve had in Japan. As a female solo traveller, I felt completely safe and cared for. The hosts were incredibly kind, treating me more like a friend than a guest. They went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable, sharing advice about the city and pointing me toward lesser-known spots to explore. The space was clean, cosy, and thoughtfully prepared. While the location is a little out of the way, it offers a peaceful atmosphere in an old-school district that feels like stepping back in time. I loved exploring the neighborhood, discovering authentic kissatens (Japanese coffee shops) and delicious udon spots nearby. I felt at home throughout my stay and am so grateful for Yuji and Ryo’s warmth and hospitality. I’ll always choose to stay here whenever I’m in Osaka and highly recommend it to anyone visiting!
