We loved everything about the property, right from the check in, to check out.. the family who is running the property are exceptionally sweet and helpful. Food is so delicious and the rooms and facilities are mind blowing. It was like home away from home. Haven’t been so comfortable on any trip as much as we were at happy man village. The hosts are the best, super kind, friendly and helpful, can help with tours and transport. They made us the best breakfast. The rooms very big and are completely new well-equipped (rain shower, hot tab, hot water, mirror, kettle,...), great bathroom, nice terrace , the bed was huge and really comfy and everything was super clean. The entire facility is very modern and well maintained. Wonderful quiet village, cargils supermarket and fruet store is very close, less than 5 minutes walk. The place is very calm and close to Bentota city center, about 10 minutes ride. Close to lunch-dinner places. Would 100% recommend it. Thank you so much for everything!

How can I even start… all the members of this family are literal angels. They’ll take care of you, show you around, make sure you’re never hungry, and give you the best possible experience. I was so lucky to meet them at the beginning of my trip; I ended up staying way longer than planned and even spent my birthday with them and we organised a trip together some time later. At this point, they’ve become family to me. Their property is located in a beautiful and tranquil area; if you like being close to nature and want an authentic Sri Lankan experience, this is the place. The rooms are well-kept and tidy, spacious, and cosy. There’s an adorable dog and lots of visiting animals, even parrots, who feed near the property’s gate every morning. Shamaylie, with the help of her daughters, cooks home made, healthy and very tasty meals, made from the local ingredients. The family will make sure that they offer you the food you like. I recommend to visit the Guesthouse regardless if you’re travelling solo or in a couple. You will always be treated with love, warmth, and generosity. Wik xx
