It was marvelous to experience Geoffrey Bawa's eyes and soul through this stay. Extremely relaxing and beautiful, through out the space and breakfast. The housekeeper Rohana was surprisingly impressive in his hospitality and professional at touring Bawa's residence. Definitely will visit again!

Aathma is a feast for the eyes and the heart. The setting is so lovely with lake views and peaceful gardens. As others have said there is always something new, beautiful or quirky to catch your eye. The hotel feels like a treasured family home in which you are an honoured guest. The staff are excellent, so professional and competent but friendly and fun as well. Bohoma stoothi Imran and Geeth for your outstanding care of us. The food was also some of the best we have had in Sri Lanka.

Dolce Italia is one of the nicest places that I have stayed in colombo. The staff are absolutely amazing and helpful. It's a cozy and warm spot in the heart of the city. I would definitely return to stay at Dolce Italia rooms. Thank you

Staying at 55TG boutique from April 2nd to 3rd, 2025, was the perfect way to conclude our Sri Lankan adventure. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! We arrived early from Tangalle, and the staff kindly allowed us an early check-in to our room, the "Art Suite with a beautiful Garden View". It was beautifully decorated, spacious, and impeccably clean. We initially found the wifi signal weak, but our host, Dilshan, immediately demonstrated his exceptional attentiveness by bringing a router directly to our room, which resolved the issue completely – we had a great connection afterwards! The service from Dilshan and his crew throughout our stay was outstanding; their attentiveness made us feel like we were guests in a 5-star restaurant. The food was another major highlight. While seafood wasn't available on the menu during our short stay, the team was very accommodating and even offered to purchase alcohol externally for us if needed. We had lunch, dinner, and breakfast there, and everything was absolutely delicious. The fish curry and rice at dinner was genuinely the BEST meal we had during our entire trip! They even made the setting incredibly romantic, decorating our table with rose petals. As if that wasn't enough, they surprised me on my birthday morning! I certainly wasn't expecting techno birthday music to accompany my scrumptious breakfast – it was such a fun and unexpected touch. It made our early departure for the airport feel even more bittersweet, and we truly wished we could have tipped Dilshan and the staff more generously for their fantastic service. The grounds were quiet and private, contributing to a very peaceful atmosphere and a great night's sleep. Our stay felt far too short but was simply wonderful. Our sincere compliments and thanks to everyone at 55TG boutique for making our stay so memorable and special. It was the perfect ending. (P.S.

This is a cute place with all facilities you would require for a leisure trip. The host, Gamini is exceptionally helpful and helped us a lot with finding a car for our further travels. Also, us being a group of vegetarians, it is very hard to find vegetarian breakfast, but Gamini incorporated all our requests for our breakfast! The place is also very close to the city center and we enjoyed the views in the mornings on the rooftop.

Looking for history without kitsch I discovered this discrete Guesthouse . Away from the crowds of Colombo, the spacious room and antique charm gave me a fantastic rest after exploring Sri Lanka’s capital. With all the qualities of a classic hotel I could enjoy style and comfort while maintaining the privacy of home.

The cafe was handy for a quick bite and a pot of tea before starting the day. Friendly staff and good service. Meals were good. A special Thank you to Prisca for keeping in touch during my stay at the DBU and making sure that every thing was ok. Convenient location.

Really beautiful villa, turned into very charming hotel. Room was very clean with furniture in good shape. Common areas for chilling is nice as well. Bathroom was clean. There is a lot of green plants around and it is in the side street, so no noise from the traffic. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Recommend it 100%

We had a 1-night stop at this clean and no-frill stay. Location - Near the waterfront with interesting railway view and the ocean Restaurant - right opposite has a good restaurant for lunch and dinner Room - not huge but good enough for a comfy stay. AC, hot water and water pressure is a bonus Common space - there is a common space to rest and read
