This family-run hotel was incredible. The hosts were so kind and helpful - they drove us wherever we needed and helped with everything. The home-cooked food was delicious, with huge, satisfying portions that we looked forward to every day. We truly felt at home and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

The place is in the perfect location, especially if you want to surf at main/baby point. The property is 2 min away from the beach and there are lots of great restaurants around. The rooms have king sized beds, mosquito nets, space to store your clothes, AC and a big bathroom. Also, there is a communal fully equipped kitchen with. The best part of the property for myself is the owner and his family and friends. They are incredibly helpful with organising the perfect stay for you and always have a smile on their face. Harsha’s mom even cooked rice & curry for us (best one I had during my 5 weeks in Sri Lanka!!). Thanks Harsha for an unforgettable time in A’Bay.

What an amazing place. Host is the most welcoming person I've ever met, such an amazing human being! We booked for 5 nights and we extended another 3 because we felt like home. Everyday were preparing breakfast (and everyday is different, delicious and abundant, also with homemade juices). We also had few dinners in and food was stunning! He also arranged a motorbike, safaris and taxi at very reasonable price! We have no words to express how kind and caring they were with us. The place is very handy, close to beach and all the restaurants, clean and well take care of, also very quiet! We highly, highly recommend it! No hesitation! Looking forward to come back to here!

Bashir was a fantastic host and the room was superb with a nice balcony to chill on. Everything worked as it should. Location was great for us, just out of the centre so quiet but a very short walk to the majority of restaurants.

Really nice place to stay in Arugam Bay. The hotel has a nice ambient, beautiful garden. The owner and the staff are lovely and very helpful. We had good chats and they help us in any way we needed. The room was clean and nice, just like the bathroom. It has a very good value for the price. AC works fine and there is a ceiling fan as well. The beach is just the end of the street, 50 meters. There are many good places to eat nearby.

This accommodation is off the Main Street, which meant it was quiet at night. The aircon was very welcome and bottled water is available at the hotel, meaning I didn’t have to bring it in. The owner / manager is very accommodating and helpful. He answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. He assisted me in finding a car to drive to my next location for a very reasonable price. Next time I will stay in Arugum Bay for longer and definitely back at the Bavarian Resort. Highly Recommended
