The environment of the hotel is very beautiful. The owner has a large orchard. In a corner of the orchard, there is a beautiful botanical garden, which was designed by the owner himself. We stayed in this botanical garden. You can imagine how beautiful it is! In addition, the hotel owner has a very polite son and a naughty and lovely daughter. We felt very happy playing with them.

Super nice rooms, well decorated, very clean and calm. The private pool is a real plus. Perfect to chill and relax. Mahesh is the manager of the place and was offering to us free pick up from the center to the cottage which really helped us a lot. I really recommend this place. The only 2 things that do not match with the description of the hotel: no free pick up from dambulla and no bikes to lend in the place.

We had the best stay ever. Lovely place run by amazing people. The room are huge and clean, there’s AC, fan, hot water, kettle, big and comfy beds , everything you need. We had an amazing time. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The rooms were really clean. The interior and exterior were very interesting,non common and eye catching. There are even tree swing and a tree house in the yard. And don't miss to order a dinner, it was delicious!

Very nice operator of this homestay. Jeep tour to the elephants was very impressive. The elephant families were 5 to 10 meters away from the jeep.... Without being disturbed. He also had a few other good ideas about what to do in the area. Breakfast very good and plenty. Absolute recommendation

First of all, the attentiveness of our hosts was amazing. Always smiling, asking if everything was all right, trying to fulfill any of our desires or requirements. This place is a family-owned property, with happy kids running around. We felt safe and welcomed. Secondly, the food is great. It's home-cooked, but the presentation could compete with any restaurant we've been to in Sri Lanka. Not just the presentation, of course, but the tastes were great and the portions were huge. Location is excellent. If you are in the area to hike to the top of the rocks, which you probably are; the accommodation is located roughly in the middle, between Lion's Rock and Pidurangala. You can walk to both of them easily (20-30 minutes walk). The host will get you there by car if you are planning to leave early in the morning or late after sunset. You can see Lion's Rock from the property and you can get a good photo of it right there. The room is basic, but clean and well thought out. There is a bench to put your stuff, a bed with a mosquito net, and a working fan. The bathroom follows the same path. There are chairs and a table outside of the room. Despite the remote location, the Wi-Fi connection is surprisingly stable and reliable. I was able to make a 1+ hour video call. The speeds are slow but that's to be expected.

Just one word. "Perfect". The location is just right behind the Sigiriya lion rock, you could just have your meals looking at their roof top while enjoying the beautiful and rock and scenery. The accomodation facilities and the things to do is so much and the best part is Mr Aluvihare(the owner) will go beyond to make you take the maximum use of the experiences in Sigiriya from rock climbing to elephant safaris etc. He is supportive and will help you have an amazing stay not only at his place but cover the entire Sigiriya area. Really worth the money!
