It truly was a remarkable experience. Azrou's serene atmosphere, far from the hustle and bustle of technology, captivated us from the moment we arrived. Amazing location situated in the heart of Azrou. Close to the Medina, shops and restaurants. We only stayed for one night to break our drive to Fes however we wish we stayed more. Staff of the Riad are super nice, perfect location and abundant breakfast. Also few minutes drive to Monkey Forest.

The property is right by the Azrou Forest so when we left the next morning, we met the infamous macaque monkeys on the street almost right away and enjoyed giving them some food. The property is quiet, close by to downtown Azrou where we walked around and found some street food (since we arrived late from Fes). Our host, Mohammed, was a friendly young gentleman who visibly enjoyed conversing with and exchanging stories with his guests. The breakfast outside by the Berber tent was a nice prelude to our visit to the Sahara later. (There's an option to eat in a large ballroom but who wants to when a Berber tent awaits outside?) Room was super clean, large with high ceiling, and very quiet. In our itinerary, this Azrou hotel serves as a nice alternative to overpriced Fes or Ifrane as it brought us closer to our driving target the next day, Merzouga.
