Quiet, clean, excellent kitchen and bathrooms. The terrace is beautiful, I worked from there for two days. (It does get hot though!) Sometimes they even left some small snacks in the kitchen for everyone to share. I can't think of a better located, more peaceful place. Col Americana is the neighbourhood for expats, it's clean and trendy, lots of restaurants and bars, and the walk to downtown Centro is not far.

Everything was just great. There is well furnished kitchen you can use, a big common area, working space, yoga classes directly in the hostel and a beautiful garden. It is also very quite, which is quite important if you have to get up early and work. Everyone was very helpful and nice! Location was perfect as well Thank you for everything, we will be back again

Wonderful guest house with an unforgettable design. I was feeling like I traveled in a time, cool 70s vibe. Nice details, great common areas, calm neighborhood, pet friendly place. Check-in process was flawless, all the necessary information was provided.

Everything! This was my first trip to not only Guadalajara but Mexico in general and I could not have asked for a better experience! Karina is incredibly helpful and accommodating and made me feel at home here from the first day :) Apparently Zalaoui, is a Náhuatl word for "rest" which was perfect for me as I travelled to Mexico for an elective surgery and above all needed a clean and quiet place to rest and recover. Even the nurse who came to check up on me commented on how central yet quiet the hostel was. My room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. Shower had plenty of hot and cold water with good pressure, and the internet was very fast. The location is perfect - there's countless attractions all within walking distance. I especially loved the delicious quesadilla place right next door and the absolutely beautiful church and plaza Expiatorio, less than a 3 minute walk away! Karina is truly an amazing host, from her delicious homemade fruit juices, to her endless patience and spanish lessons with me as I kept trying to practice 😅🙏
