Our window view was of a temple, and you are literally two blocks from Kathmandu Durbar Square. The room had charging plugs right near the bed, and each room is its own floor so the bathroom — adjacent — is private. There is a water dispenser and a kettle on each floor as well. Bobby suggested that we use the roof are to dry clothes, but he also provides a clothespin rack inside (it’s monsoon season). Bobby was super helpful — met me at the airport, showed us where to change money, helped us buy umbrellas, booked our Tourist bus to Pokhara, arranged for a taxi pickup, and each was a value-for-money experience. He let us store our luggage for our days away for a small fee. The room is only fan-cooled, but I’d gladly put up with the “a little steamy” for the location and the support.

I felt really comfortable at Green Mandala Inn. The rooms were very spacious, spotless clean and had a comfortable bed, also a closet was provided to store clothes. There were to spacious terraces to hang out with a super nice view over Kathmandu. The staff was amazing and very helpful and the homemade food was delicious. The guesthouse is close to some Monasteries and the vibe of the area is very relaxed and calm. A hiden gem, away from the buzz of the city.

An amazing quiet place, with a lovely garden. The staff is very nice! The location is amazing, very close to Boudhanath. The food is excellent!

Kathmandu Madhuban is located in the perfect place: NOT in the centre of noisy, over touristed Thamel... and yet close enough (5 minutes walk) to go to any of Thamel's restaurants, etc should the desire strike. Also an easy walk to Asan and the older sections of downtown Kathmandu, to Durbar Square... and a short walk to Swayambhunath. And on the top floor (where my room was) there is a large terrace where one can work/sit/eat/whatever, and from the window of the room, on a clear day, one can see the snow-peaked Himalayas! What more could one want in a Kathmandu hotel?

I recently stayed at Zen Nest during my trip to Nepal, and it was an incredible experience. The location is perfect—right near Thamel and Basantapur, making it easy to explore the city's vibrant nightlife.
